march '09 out now are three new cd-r editions: -patrick farmer - Apis mellifera, moved to and fro -stasis duo 3 -syndromes / kostis kilymis -
just another daily bummer
just the right sounds to keep your mind excited through the idle afternoons of the impending summer or, in the case of the syndromes disc, to blast through your car speakers as you're moving through nerve-shattering traffic in any city you like to call home (it's been road-tested and proven effective). all are available from our shop, along with a couple of new distributed items. oh, and pascal battus' and alfredo costa monteiro's ductile is now running short...

february '09 update a busy month in our offices, this one. even if it doesn't show here yet. stay tuned for a new batch of cd-rs, and another cd release at some point later on..
august '08 update, part2: the story so far: the two first official releases of our label (Ductile by Pascal Battus & Alfredo Costa Monteiro and .accumulated by kostis kilymis) were released in early '08. Ductile is an amazing disc of intensely focused improvised music in which all sounds used are sourced from the manipulation of paper (& don't assume the recording is anywhere near quiet for that reason). .accumulated gathers some audio constructions by yours truly, material ranges from pure field recordings to assembled sound in an effort to develop one's musical language as it were. both releases still available. available now is our next release, on CD this time, by argentinian musicians Lucio Capece & Sergio Merce. Titled "Casa", it finds Capece and Merce performing two pieces of impressive construction as well as astonishing clarity. both players are very active in the international scene of electro-acoustic improvisation (& beyond), Merce in argentina & Capece in myriad projects in europe and elsewhere. this recording marks a homecoming of shorts for Capece (or a re-union without a real break-up) and sees the two musicians taking the skills they've built within their various collaborative projects and using them for the purposes of an unusually focused statement. if you are curious about the content, you can hear .mp3 samples of this & of our other records in their respective pages. in some other Lucio Capece news, there is a great video of a performance with Rhodri Davies that took place in Berlin this spring available online. it can be found here: http://blip.tv/file/1267915/. Lucio's setup on it is the same used in the first track of Casa, so it is interesting to see in a different musical situation. |
